As the retail industry continues to strive towards reducing PCI compliance audit costs, more and more companies are looking at tokenization. Tokenization is the process of replacing sensitive data in systems with inert data called tokens, which have no value to a thief.

Unlike traditional tokenization methods that use a “vault” to store the sensitive data, Vaultless Tokenization improves the security and efficiency by eliminating the need for a token vault. Removing the token vault eliminates the storage of the sensitive data and the tokens – keeping your system out of scope!
