STAMFORD, CT – March 09, 2005 – Protegrity Corporation, the leading data security management company, announced today that NextgenID, a San Antonio-based company specializing in biometric access control products, has become a charter member of the Protegrity Alliance Network with the signing of an OEM partnership agreement. NextgenID will offer Protegrity’s database security solution to its clients as a complement to its own software applications, which are typically part of command center infrastructures in government agencies or other organizations with high security requirements.
“Our customers are very concerned about security and data integrity,” said Susan Bostrom, president of NextgenID. “They are already investing in state-of-the-art security systems to control facility access. Securing the data inside these facilities is of equal priority. Protegrity’s Secure.Data can be rapidly deployed, no matter what the technology infrastructure. Clients can set up security management processes that meet specific security and reporting requirements for satellite bases and across an entire agency.”
NextgenID provides control systems for fingerprint, face, and iris recognition access systems. The company also offers solutions for enrollment, ongoing authentication, and centralized management. NextgenID will use Protegrity’s Secure.Data to encrypt, secure, and manage security processes for its products’ databases. Data security is an important component of any facility security system since it prevents authorization, access, and other employee-related data from being altered or misused.
“We’re delighted to have NextgenID join our partner network,” said Kyle Pond, vice president of market development for Protegrity. “Both of our companies have a strong heritage of technology innovation. We know Secure.Data will be a valuable complement to NextgenID’s sophisticated biometric technologies.”
Pond is responsible for managing the Protegrity Alliance Network, a partner program designed to extend Protegrity’s market reach and create a powerful network of independent software vendors, original equipment manufacturers, system integrators, and platform partners that are well positioned to deliver enterprise-level data security management solutions.
Protegrity’s Secure.Data was selected by NextgenID for its quality of security, auditing and reporting capabilities, and performance.
