In today’s fast-paced and data-driven world, businesses need the ability to operate at scale and at speed to power analytics over increasingly large volumes of data. However, businesses cannot rush to accelerate data innovation at the expense of data privacy. Instead, companies need a unique and customizable approach to data privacy that enables them to securely preserve the analytical value of their sensitive data, while speeding data collaboration and innovation.
To support our customers as they expand their data analytics initiatives in the cloud, we announced our partnership with Google Cloud to integrate Protegrity’s data protection with BigQuery in the upcoming release of BigQuery remote functions. First unveiled at Google CloudNext 2021, BigQuery remote functions provide customers and partners with the ability to extend BigQuery. As a result of our joint collaboration, customers can deliver faster and more robust data analysis through BigQuery, with Protegrity providing an additional layer of data protection.
We also introduced a Cloud API for GoogleCloud, a serverless API that can be used to integrate Protegrity’s advanced data protection into cloud services and ETL workflows, as well as the SnowflakeProtector on Google Cloud. These new capabilities allow organizations to assemble cloud-based solutions that integrate Protegrity’s data protection and generate valuable insights faster and more securely than ever before.
Securing Analytics at Scale
Privacy and security have become essential to business initiatives involving data and analytics. We believe that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to data security; instead protection should be customizable and uniquely tailored to each customer’s environment and use case. With Protegrity Vaultless Tokenization, customers can tokenize personal identifiers and quasi-identifiers, allowing them to quickly accommodate new applications and analytical models, while maintaining strong privacy practices. Protegrity safeguards data from risk of exposure, with fine-grained data protection that allows customers to confidently achieve regulatory compliance and satisfy internal risk policies.
This partnership is a significant milestone for Protegrity, particularly as our customers increasingly move data and analytic workloads to the cloud. We will continue to advance our mission of protecting data at the speed of business. To learn more, please visit our press release.
